They look at the small portion on their plate and don&#8217;t think about how many calories and how much fat there is in it. </span></p>

It is like trying to drive you car 500 miles with only enough gas to go 300.  it will never make it.</span></p>

If your body determines it is being starved it will decide it is not going to give up easily.  It then begins to react and store the fuel to run it. The body will stop burning fat and save it in the survival mode thus you will not lose weight. </span></p>

Young people can have their weight run out of control by simply overeating too much. Young people can be fat and obese needless to say that  growth alone can&rsquo;t consume all those extra calories.</span></p>

Being obese your entire life can have devastating health consequences. These people are unfortunately going to suffer greatly. Knees, feet, ankles and other support body parts may carry weights like 250-plus pounds for 40 years. That is an uncommon task for human joints. Our children will suffer in ways we never did and maybe ways no human civilization ever did in the past. </span> </span></p>

Many of them will die of cardiovascular-related illnesses at painfully young ages. We&rsquo;ve seen how it can happen. Some young kid jumps on a court and before you know it, he just drops dead. Sadly in the next generation, this kid will die at home with his parents in his childhood bedroom. He will have been sick for years but nothing could stop him from overeating to enjoy himself. This is how these senseless deaths happen &ndash; one fork at a time.</span></p>

<p>The number one problem most people have is that they don’t know how many calories are in what they are consuming. This is a serious issue at restaurants. Eating at restaurants is contrary to your diet goals. You need to know what is in your food and  any restaurants cook with lots of butter and lard. Lard is one of the worst things you can consume on a diet. Cutting calories is  extremely difficult if you are consuming large amounts of:</p>
<p>- Breads</p>
<p>- Pastas</p>
<p>- RefinedSugars</p>
<p>- UntrimmedRed Meats</p>
<p>- Cheese</p>
<p>- High-fat Dairies</p>
<p>All of these foods are the kiss of death from calorie perspective. Some examples are that 2 servings of a poorly trimmed beef dish could be 700 calories!</p>
<p>Some hamburgers and pizza (the favorites of American junk food) run 700 calories per burger or 450 – 600 calories per slice. How on earth can you manage your weight consuming food like that?</p>
<p>Some people don’t realize that being overweight isn’t as much about control as food choices. Some food choices nail you even if you consume a few portions less. Pizza is a great example. Some slices of pizza are about 600 calories per slice. You simply take that slice of pizza and add a coke with it, and you are up to about 800 calories. For the average woman, this is a very large meal and this involves only a single slice of pizza. If she ate average-sized meals the rest of the day, this puts her over the amount a woman should eat. Over time, she will become overweight. Pizza is simply the wrong food choice if it comes from one of the conventional pizza chains.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We have all heard the complaints from doctors, too much red meat can be very fattening. We have also  heard professional trainers saying that high-quality red meat is essential for  good muscle development. So what is the truth?</p>
<p>The  truth is they are both right. Red meat is critical for good muscle development.  Steak is one of the most nutrient dense foods there is. Lean steak is an almost  perfect muscle builder. It is packed with protein. The problem is that lean  steak is tough and not very tasty. We like to add some fat and get our steak  with marbling. Marbling is small amount of fat that makes it taste good. Steak  with good marbling also has less densely packed connective tissues and it is  easier to eat. So 90% of us don’t eat the perfect steak, but we eat a good  approximation or unfortunately the nightmare of diets – hamburgers.</p>
<p>Hamburgers  can actually be eaten on a diet. If you simply ate a bun, meat and ketchup for  your burger, you’d actually end up around 500 calories. That is really not a  bad meal for 180 pound man. The problem is that most people don’t eat  hamburgers that way. In some ways our problem around red meat is more of a cultural  problem than a caloric problem.</p>
<p>Often  we associate red meats with celebrations or special occasions. People often ask  why did you get a steak or large roast for dinner? Is there an occasion? So  with red meats often come the “trimmings”. Burgers are always eaten with fries,  steaks come with potatoes and a roast comes with a full dinner.</p>
<p>Red  meats aren’t inherently bad, how we eat them often is though. You could have a  medium burger everyday for lunch for a year with just put ketchup on it and not  gain a pound. I know someone who actually did it. Red meat isn’t bad, our  mentality about how to eat it is bad. Consider these facts.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Weight loss and the company you keep are very closely related. Some people gain weight when their partners gain weight. Others lose weight when their partners gain. The type of people you have around you can motivate you or de-motivate you. The choice is really up to you.</p>
<p>You can’t get rid of your family but you can get a highly productive workout partner or dieting buddy. Coupling yourself with the person who wants to eat out everyday isn’t the best choice. My wife sabotages my diet by asking to eat pizza 3 times a week. That’s right, three times a week. Pizza is one of the worst foods you can consume, but that’s not the worst of it. My wife also loves Mexican food. You may not know it but Mexican food and many Italian foods are pretty fattening. Some bean pastes have about 350 calories per serving and delivery pizzas easily run 500 – 600 calories per slice.</p>
<p>Needless to say that my evening meal was 1,000 calories for more than 2 years. I gained more than 25 pounds after getting married. She gained 20 pounds too, but claimed she never ate like that before getting<br />
married. Somehow I doubt that.</p>
<p>You need to separate yourself from bad influences during dinner time and create a wall of peace around you. Stressful eating is overeating. Stress makes us use food as comfort. Food should not be comfort but survival.</p>
<p>Your mate may not be a helpmate in this category but you can sign onto Craigslist and find a workout buddy. There are tons of people in the community section suffering through the same negative influences that you are dealing with. I understand that my wife is not my enemy but sometimes I need positive influences. A single positive influence can go a long way toward eating right and working out productively.</p>

In other words, there are not only a lot of things that you eat that you don&#8217;t give much thought to, but also a lot of ways that you just don&#8217;t think about. By changing your dietary habits you will not only lose weight, but you will be able to keep that weight off much easier.</span></p>
